About Us

TERI

TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) was formally established in 1974 with the purpose of tackling and dealing with the immense and acute problems that mankind is likely to be faced with in the years ahead. The organization envisions to "work towards global sustainable development, creating innovative solutions for a better tomorrow". TERI has been actively involved in educating the youth on environmental issues and disseminating relevant information to a large cross-section.

The EEA (Environment Education and Awareness) Area, which is a part of the Educating Youth for Sustainable Development Division of TERI, has particularly been working with educational institutions to sensitize students to the environment, inculcate the right values and attitudes about the environment in them, and help them grow as responsible citizens of the world. The youth can act as an influential catalyst to improve the quality of the environment they live in and, consequently, their lives. Keeping this in mind, the EEA Area has undertaken several short and long-term projects with schools, involving students and teachers and through them, the communities.
